On July 18th, Professor Luo Yi, Vice President of Shanghai Ocean University, led a research team of 8 experts to visit and exchange ideas at Qingdao Qicai Seed Industry Technology Co., Ltd. The team consists of professionals from Shanghai Urban Planning and Design Institute, as well as experts from the College of Fisheries and Life Sciences, College of Information Technology, College of Engineering, and the Department of Development Planning and Discipline Construction of Shanghai Ocean University.

The purpose of this delegation is to conduct preliminary research for the planning and design of Shanghai Ocean University's key construction project, the "Future Aquaculture Center," ensuring its scientificity, foresight, and feasibility. The research team focused on inspecting Qicai Seed Industry's innovative achievements and technical practices in fields such as facility-based fisheries and aquatic seed industry—especially in land-bas ed industrial recirculating aquaculture systems, full artificial breeding, and high-efficiency aquaculture technologies—and held in-depth exchanges with Professor Gong Qingli, Chairman of Qicai Seed Industry, and Liu Ming, General Manager.
