On June 15, the National Modern Facility Agriculture Construction Promotion Meeting was held in Laixi City, Qingdao. Tang Renjian, secretary of the Party Leading Group and Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, attended the meeting and made a speech. After the meeting, he investigated the development of modern facility agriculture, intensive processing of agricultural products and monitoring of exotic animal diseases in Qingdao. Zhou Naixiang, deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, and Lu Zhiyuan, secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee, accompanied the investigation.

The meeting stressed that the development of modern facility agriculture is a major measure to implement the spirit of the Party's 20 congresses, establish a big food concept, build a diversified food supply system, and better ensure national food security, and is the due meaning of the national food security strategy.

Members of the Party group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, vice minister Zhang Xingwang presided over the meeting, vice governor of Shandong Province Song Junji, Chen Ping, deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Qingdao, Mayor Zhao Haozhi attended the meeting, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the General Administration of Financial Supervision, Shandong, Hebei, Shanghai, Jiangxi, Gansu, Yunnan agriculture and rural departments responsible for the exchange speech. At the meeting, the National Modern Facility Agriculture Construction Planning, Guiding Opinions and Action Implementation Plans were issued.

 During the promotion meeting, the participants went deep into the production site of modern facility agriculture in Laixi City to investigate the new changes in facility agriculture.

Qingdao Qicai Seed Co., Ltd. is a typical representative of the facility fishery, is one of the field investigation points.

Professor Gong Qingli, head of Qicai Seed and College of Fisheries of Ocean University of China, introduced: Qingdao Qicai Seed Technology Co., Ltd. Laixi Park covers an area of 150 acres, began to put into production at the beginning of this year, is the seed industry base of murray cod, mandarin fish and salmon, all after delivery, annual output of 50 million high-end fish fry, 500 tons of commercial fish, to achieve an output value of 250 million yuan. The aquaculture water used in the park comes from the natural storage water of the mine, and is recycled through the effluent device, mechanical filtration, decarbonization device, biological treatment, disinfection device, return water device and other aspects, and the daily water exchange is only about 2%. The trace amount of aquaculture tail water discharged is used for vegetable and rice planting in the smart greenhouse, basically realizing the maximum utilization of water resources.
