Strict incoming quarantine is performed on imported salmon eggs. Only healthy and intact eggs are selected to enter the recirculating aquaculture hatching system.

Salmon eggs are incubated in the recirculating aquaculture hatching system. During incubation, water quality parameters including water temperature, water flow, dissolved oxygen, pH and ammonia nitrogen are strictly controlled. Dead eggs shall be picked out in the incubation process to prevent mildew growth, and disease prevention and control shall be implemented throughout the whole process.

The incubated salmon eggs produce newly hatched larvae. The larvae rely on their yolk sacs for growth and require no feeding. Feeding commences once yolk sac absorption is nearly complete for most individuals.

Once the yolk sacs are fully absorbed, the fry are transferred to the recirculating aquaculture fry rearing system and fed formulated feed throughout the rearing period.
